Review of Cesar Chavez (2014) by Brandon W — 24 Nov 2014
Cesar Chavez is a good movie that can be used as a history movie in school. It's well-acted, especially Michael Peña as Cesar Chavez, he's really great and is just the right choice for the historical figure.
You get to know Cesar a lot to understand why he's famous. It's interesting, and there's times where it surprised me. It is your everyday famous people movie, and you see something like this before.
It would've been better if there was drama moments in it, where there is actually, but there's not enough of them and doesn't seem to focus on it and focus more on the strikes. The movie feels like it's missing something to make it different than just your average movie.
As it is, Cesar Chavez is a good movie that has lots of good moments to leave the viewers entertained, but it feels like it could've been a little better.
