Review of Centurion (2010) by Gary M — 09 Jan 2012
Another slice of great entertainment from Neil 'Dog Soldiers' Marshall. Sure, the characters are basically sketches but amazingly do not come across as lacking depth. Plot is simple yet executed (like many of the romans) with great style.
There's plenty of gory action which you'd expect from the director of 'The Descent' (but not the dire sequel). If you're after a good adrenaline filled movie that doesn't insult the viewer's intelligence, this is one to watch.
Marshall should be given a Hollywood budget as he'd create an amazing blockbuster.
