Review of Cemetery Junction (2010) by Mikael K — 25 May 2012
Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant teamed up to make a coming-of-age comedy set in the 70â(TM)s. They ended up with a flick that despite a good setting, a relented and beautiful cast and some political connotations somehow comes together as less than impressive.
Many of the elements here work really well, but the movie lacks a certain kick due to somewhat sloppy pacing and an apparent fear of any kind of experimentation.
