Review of Cemetery Junction (2010) by Peter B — 25 Apr 2013
This is one of the best films of the year. Its amazing how gervais and merchant can transfer the things that worked so well in the office to a feature film. Extras was more comedy whilst the office made you laugh and feel for the characters and laugh at the same time.
Here youre laughing but care so much about the characters, its dramatic but not for the sake of it. Its swift, pacy, moves along with a real confidence. Its light but deals with life, with unuversal themes of dreams, of being true to yourself.
The performances are all spot on and these doods and the fine doodette are gunna be huge stars without a doubt. Its a bloomin gem and can only get better on repeat viewings. Plus a corker of a soundtrack.
Fantastic.
