Review of Cell (2016) by Craig P — 01 Dec 2017
Too little, too late! NGL it does have some pretty good chills, nice bit of acting between the two leads and a terrifically gruesome and funny scene with the always great Stacy Keach, a flaming arrow, a gas truck and a soccer stadium full of sleeping zombies or "phoners" as they're called.
But ultimately it's all just very mediocre and not very scary or suspenseful. John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson, it should be noted are fine here, despite others saying they're uh, phoning it in.
.but their first Stephen King adapted feature together was phenomenally better ('1408'). If you're a Stephen King fan, love horror but for some reason have not seen that yet, please check it out before this mess.
You'll thank me later.
