Review of Cat People (1942) by Andreas O — 10 Oct 2010
Intelligent and tasteful suspense thriller, with a sense of subtlety that was uncommon for its time - and perhaps even rarer today. Walking a fine line between phychology and the supernatural, yet never truly taking sides, Cat People set a tone for something new.
It is still eerily good to watch, even if it may come across as somewhat slow-paced and uneventful.
