Review of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958) by Rick M — 09 Jan 2008
The adaptation is tame and lacking the depth and daring of the play, but Paul Newman is terrific, Liz Taylor is herself, and Burl Ives IS Big Daddy. When you're working with material like this it's hard to screw it up too badly.
