Review of Casualties of War (1989) by Knut N — 28 Jan 2009

Nifty little morality drama about courage, morality and the ability to stand up for those that cannot do so for themselves. Performances are a cut above, action seems realistic but the film seems better suited for the theater than anything else.

Very stagy, very self-contained and self-aware. Enjoyable, a thinking man's movie but not a terrific Vietnam film by any means.
