Review of Casualties of War (1989) by Arseniy V — 22 Dec 2009
At times a decent attempt at a powerful war film with a good message. But much of that power is lost due to several awful choices intended (ironically) to maximize it. Instead, only taking this viewer out of the situation's reality and placing me smack dab in the middle of a thick, gooey Hollywood cheese and bs sandwich.
Terrible aftertaste.
