This is a very good but very sad movie. I think also maybe the title is saying that there are many casualties of war, not necessarily just losing life, but maybe the ones that survive are casualties in a way because some truly lose their innocence by commenting horrible acts,or are permanently scared from what they see.
Those soilders are also caualties.Also there are truly innocent casualties that are just in the wrong place and time.
