Review of Cast Away (2000) by Charlie L — 04 Nov 2012
Tom Hanks is absolutely outstanding in this film about a man who gets stranded on an island - a premise which doesn't seem like it could hold a 2 and a half-hour long film together. Yet it does. And with fantastic pay-offs.
An intelligent script, superb directing and Tom Hanks as the star of this excellent show, Cast Away is one of the greatest films I have ever seen.
