Review of Casshern (2004) by Keith O — 18 Jun 2008
What a great, if slightly odd, movie. A cautionary SF story about the dangers of technology, the futility of war, and the degeneration of everything into a biologically Frankensteinian nightmare, it's incredibly unique and takes many style cues from anime.
Stunning with tremendous action scenes, it's apparently partially based on Hamlet though I don't see the connection; weird movie, but still interesting and engaging to watch.
