Review of Casshern (2004) by Kestutis K — 10 Jul 2010
Visually it is an incredible piece of work with a unique art style that is very often dragged down by extremely serious melodrama set to Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata." However, the ambitious camera work and even more ambitious action sequences remain amazing and the movie soars during those moments before return to the oppresively brooding atmosphere.
Be warned though, it does get extremely weird in places.
