Review of Won Ton Baby! (2009) by David T — 30 Jul 2014

Equal parts intentionally and unintentionally bad, Won Ton Baby! is a highly entertaining slice of low budget cheese. The acting, for the most part, is surprisingly well done, the humor and script are spot on, and the special effects are hilariously bad (hands are clearly seen "puppeteering"the mutant rockabilly baby throughout the film), and the boom mike makes a couple of cameo appearances.

This may be pure camp, but not as much as you'd see in a Troma release. If anything, I would say this was more like an amped-up homage to old Corman-esque creature features. An excellent time killer, and a good movie to have fun with while watching, as there is nothing serious or pretentious to be found here.

Just honest-to-goodness B-movie fun.
