Review of Cassandra's Dream (2007) by Eric S — 11 Oct 2009
I'm trying to find good things to say about this movie, it wasn't necessarily a bad movie but it lacked any real fibre. It was kinda slow and the acting was weak but perhaps that can be blamed on the dialogue and plot of the movie.
The story simply went along at a medial pace and although the story became more intense in parts, the characters did not. Colin Farrell was probably the pick of the actors, in a role that I have not seen him play before (not the ultra cool/bad/sneaky guy).
As for Ewan MacGregor he was ok but he has done better work (in fact I think everything he has done prior to this movie is better). Tom Wilkinson was also ok but again he has done much better work. This movie can best be described as just above a dud, and although I haven't seen many movies from him the fault of the movie can be layed on the shoulders of the Director, Woody Allen.
