Review of Casino (1995) by Jonathan B — 14 Mar 2012

All the great elements of a gangster movie are combined with the drama in the personal lives of Ace, Ginger, and Nicky to make a very interesting film. The acting is very well done, and the rise to power and the destruction of the characters is well explained.

The emotional conflict between Ace and Ginger is intense and the unwillingness of Ginger to love Ace is somewhat sad. My only complaint with Casino is the James Bond-like opening credits.
