Cashback is a brief insight into the life of an aspiring artist who finds himself suffering from insomnia after a difficult breakup. While working at a supermarket during the night shift to pass the time, he discovers he can ignore the monotony by simply "stopping" time.
He uses this newfound freedom to explore the beauty of his surroundings and the people that inhabit the supermarket at night as an attempt to recover from his heartbreak and begins to fall for a fellow coworker.
