Review of Carnival of Souls (1962) by Kenneth S — 27 Dec 2008
CARNIVAL OF SOULS is a very, very creepy film that's very well shot and directed. The only real drawback is the supporting character who tries to get the main character to go out with him. After a car accident, a woman escapes and goes about her normal life, but the recurring appearance of a strange man keeps her and the audience wondering "what in the world is going on?" Obviously a major influence on director David Lynch.
