Review of Carnal Knowledge (1971) by Mickey R — 26 Nov 2010
Further proof that the 70's were the real golden age of cinema. Opened the door for later films like "In the Company of Men", "Your Friends and Neighbors" and "Closer".
Not one of the most memorable Nicholson performances but definitely a high point for Art Garfunkel and the beautiful Ann Margret. Directed by Mike Nichols who helmed such classics as "The Graduate" and "Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf" and written by Jules Feiffer who never went on to write another good movie.
Unless you want to count Robert Altman's "Popeye" but I wouldn't :).
