Okay, maybe this is just a reflection of the ennui of the '70s, but I had a hard time getting into the idea that no one had a decent relationship, regardless of how attractive, well off or even (God forbid) in love anyone seemed to be on the surface - they were all miserable and waiting for the next thing to come along.

Or at least that's what this film taught me.
