Review of Carlito's Way (1993) by Daniel W — 06 Apr 2009
A great movie. Pacino is in a role similar to his character in Scarface, though I prefer his Carlito to Tony Montana personally. I felt that this character had more emotional depth, and I appreciated the moral code that Carlito tried to live by, despite being in an environment where there was no honor among thieves.
The chase at the end was exciting, and the ending really took me by surprise, though in retrospect it shouldn't have.
