Review of Captain Corelli's Mandolin (2001) by Kshitij B — 06 Oct 2009
Extremely unconvincing movie and cast. We've seen grittier war films, and more gripping wartime romances. This one is nowhere. Even the scenic Greek isle seems wasted. Characters like Mandras (Christian Bale) and Lemoni (both as a child and a teen) seem to have floated around.
Nothing holds it all together. They should have named it Captain Corelli is a pangolin.
