Review of Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) by William K — 26 Oct 2015

Captain America: The First Avenger is a good movie, with some major flaws. I liked a lot of things about this movie. I loved Chris Evans as Steve Rogers and the rest of the cast, the first 45 minutes to an hour was a masterpiece, most of the action was handled pretty well and was enjoyable.

Also the CGI was good, and I really liked Red Skull as the villain. There was a lot of stuff wrong with this movie. After the first hour, the movie became a montage of action scene after action scene for 10 minutes and it was really boring, and they kept doing that throughout the rest of the film, also I felt like there were some pacing issues especially with the relationship between Peggy Carter and Steve Rogers.

Overall Captain America: The First Avenger is far from special, it is still an exceptional, entertaining movie.
