Although the film is very dark, episodic, and a little confusing - I haven't read the book but I imagine that quite a bit was edited out of this film version - it's well worth a look. Fantastic to see Viggo in a European epic, and speaking fluent Spanish no less - no he's not dubbed - backed by an equally strong and attractive cast and filmed on a grand scale.
