Review of Captain Alatriste: The Spanish Musketeer (2006) by Mikael H — 05 Oct 2013
Seeing Viggo speaking Spanish is almost reason alone to watch this one. Another good reason is that it's something as unusual as a narrative of great power politics of the early 17th century from a Spanish point-of-view, clearly breaking the otherwise very Anglo-centric material that usually graces the big screen.
It also has an all around solid cast, generally speaking. If you like historical dramas, this one is not bad, if someone unevenly paced and...well...long.
