Review of Capricorn One (1977) by Matthew M — 04 Dec 2007
Hugely underated gem from a underated director.
This takes the so called faked Moon landings one step further by having a Shady Goverment stage a fake Mars Landing and then kill off the Astronauts involved .
Eliot Gould is excellent as the journalist determined to uncover the truth at all costs and Sam Waterson is good value too as one of the escaped Astronauts.
If you get the chance to see this film the next time its on TV then do as its one of those tight Paranoia Thrillers which came out of Hollywood Before and after Watergate.
