Review of Capricorn One (1977) by Brett B — 31 Jul 2010
An interesting and entertaining film, when 3 astronauts who are about to blast off for Mars are secretly taken against there will to a secret location to fake the landing on mars in front of cameras, this is based on the conspiracy theory that the Moon Landing in 1969 was Fake.
It gets interesting when the empty vessel blows up in space and the astronauts are supposed to be dead and of course there not being on earth all the time, they then escape because they know they will be killed to protect the secret, there is an attempt to hunt them down.
The film itself has aged abit but it is a very good story, the scenes with Kojak Telly Savalas are really cringey and the ending should have been followed through abit more, but besides that a very good and different film.
