Review of Cape Fear (1991) by Dan H — 19 Feb 2014
Admittedly this is one of Martin Scorcese's weaker films, but it's anchored by one of Robert De Niro's best performances as the charismatic psychopath with a heavy southern drawl. The film brings up an interesting theme about how the law doesn't properly protect those it is supposed to and only half-heartedly explores it, eventually forgetting it altogether.
The ending is also a bit too much and borders on being silly. Worth a watch if only for Robert De Niro.
