Review of Cape Fear (1991) by Chris B — 19 Jan 2017

While not living up to the original, Scorsese casts De Niro in a terrifying role that to date, is his most complex and disturbed character in his repertoire of roles. While not up with the best of Martin Scorsese's films, Cape Fear is a solid film with some well developed characters and a disturbing story.

There is some strong brutal and vivid violence and the resulting gore is detailed, so this is not for the faint of heart. Recommended to those who can stomach it!
