Top-knotch thriller with Scorsese in total control of his craft. He delivers the thrills in this unforgettable remake of the 1962 original. Here, De Niro plays Max Cady, an ex-con who stalks and terrorizes Sam Bowden (Nolte), his former lawyer who he blames for his incarceration.
Terrific script from Wesley Strick to boot. 9/10.
