Review of Can't Hardly Wait (1998) by Max W — 21 Nov 2007
Okay, I'm reviewing this movie like I've never seen it, but I have. Probably not since high school, when it seemed awesome, and then I bought it on a whim on Amazon with Sheena's guidance. This movie is AWESOME.
I'm sorry, say what you will, that it's hokey or high-schooly or whatever -- it effing rules. It's so funny and so worthy to be in that weird canon of movies about high school that are actually good (Mean Girls, Clueless, Saved, Election among them .
.. although the last two aren't really romantic comedies like this one). For real. All your nineties icons are there -- Selma Blair in a five-second cameo? Travis and Murray from Clueless? Siggy from What About Bob singing Guns and Roses? Melissa Joan Hart as the girl obsessed with her yearbook? Holla, frndz.
