Review of Can't Hardly Wait (1998) by Jacob B — 11 Jul 2018
Can't Hardly Wait has a couple of good scenes and funny moments. Seth Green is also entertaining as one of those types of people who talk and act like black guys because of hip-hop influence. Give the movie credit for being a teen flick built entirely around a party.
They're usually raunchy sex comedies or dumb romcoms that are still more realistic than the average Nicholas Sparks movie. This movie tried to stand out, I'll give it credit. Yet the underdeveloped characters, lazier gags and pointless cameos, coupled with a Smash Mouth song that I felt lacked the catchy tune that All Star and I'm a Believer had contribute to the reason that this movie is isn't remembered all that much.
It's not bad but it's forgettable compared to the likes of American Pie or '80s John Hughes flicks.
