Review of Calvaire (2005) by Marco L — 28 Jul 2010
I had to rate this a pass because it was unexpectedly horrific. It is definitely unsettling and a showcase for truly disturbed behavior. It billed itself as being in the tradition of TX. Chainsaw Massacre, Psycho and DELIVERANCE (!) There were a couple of 'squeal like a pig'-ish scenes.
I expected more but have to say it was satisfactory.
