This is the best movie of 2017 hands down. In this film, you see amazing chemistry between the three main characters; Elio, Oliver, and Mr. Perlman. A story of how a homosexual relationship can form naturally between two straight men in the span of a six week period in Italy is truly inspiring.

It is unique in that there no struggle for acceptance, like in most coming-of-age films concerning gay teens. This film instead focuses in on the relationship itself and the growth of two seemingly already mature characters with the guidance of Elio's father.

The film is accompanied by the beautiful images of Northern Italy and the emotional melodies and lyrics written by Sufjan Stevens and others. Not to mention that a new top-tier actor, Timothee Chamalet, is born.

At only 22 years old this actor tears down the house with his powerful performance and chilling ending filled with a rollercoaster of emotions.
