Feels like since 2014 every year we have been getting these "holy shit that was so good" movies that are only supposed to come around every few years. Call Me By Your Name is such a gem because it feels like we're just a fly on the wall of somebody's real life (and the fly symbolism helps with that.
) The idea that there were writers and actors instead of just real people doing real things sort of becomes cognitive dissonance with this movie. You have to see it. And it will win best picture.
