The disposability of the female characters is distressing. The story puts them on par with that peach Elio fucked to relieve sexual tension because he was no longer content to jerk it in Oliver's swim trunks.
I get that it's supposed to be exploring sexual discovery, and the messiness of youthful trysts, but bisexuality is not a hallpass to fuck people over, and cheat on your girlfriend.
