I really believe that this film has received negative reviews based on its politics. This does start off as quite a realistic film. Elizabeth Banks plays a 1960s housewife who has an ectopic pregnancy and desperately needs an abortion to save her life.

Her search is moving and realistic and is the best part of this movie. Although the changes she subsequently undergoes are not totally realistic, this movie is still worth seeing. Sigourney Weaver steals the show as a grizzled veteran of the Jane movement.
