Review of Cabin Fever (2003) by David C — 06 Nov 2010
A horror film about a sickness that must be contained a small town before it gets out. The sickness is brought about by five teens on a weekend getaway at a cabin deep in the woods. The acting is typical teen horror film acting: average with believable screams.
This film is unique in the fact that it doesn't feature someone going on a murderous rampage or a virus that turns people into zombies. Its a simple sickness that just kills you. This film makes you fear cabins in the woods just as "Jaws" made you fear the water.
But other than that, there is nothing speical about this film. The townspeople are just plain weird and the scares a few but powerful. The ending is satisfying however.
