Review of Burnt Offerings (1976) by Christopher S — 28 Aug 2008
An excellent cast is wasted in this painfully slow haunted house story. The dull and talky bulk of the movie weighs down a handful of effective scenes and colorful characters that mainly work because of the strong performances - particularly Oliver Reed.
The story is boring and predictable and just way too long. But it is almost worth watching for the ridiculous ending.
