Burn Offerings is a complete product of its time period. If you saw it when it wasn't completely outdated (I initially saw it somewhat outdated), it is alright to watch. If not, it could be tough since it moves so slow, and for the most part, there isn't much action.
The movie is full of weirdness and doesn't provide many answers.
