Review of Burke & Hare (2010) by Anthony T — 15 Nov 2010
British films will never be associated with extreme adjectives like awesome or fantasitic or excellent because when compared to American films they never are. What words that can be used to describe british film are two basic ones: nice or shit.
This film falls into the former. It is nice. It's not brilliant but it is not shit and it has some funny jokes in it. British people will get the most out of this film as it is typically british but there's nothing stopping an international audience appreciating a dark sense of humour the british have.
See this if you like a darkly comic tale and can accept a bittersweet ending.
