Dark comedy based in the real life West Port Murders. William Burke and William Hare were two irish men that emigrated to Edinburgh in early XIX century. By pure chance they discovered that anatomist Dr. Knox was willing to pay a hefty sum of money for corpses in good condition to perform autopsies on it. In view of the difficulties that supposed body snatching they decided to kill several people in order to fulfil Dr. Knox's needs. History says they murdered 16 persons before they were discovered.

It is quite a funny comedy with a very dark humour, obviously. I confess I didn't know about these events and, though not completely accurate, it is quite enlightening from an historical point of view.
