Review of Bullets Over Broadway (1994) by Rick Q — 31 Mar 2012
I'm not exactly sure why, but there is something hilarious about a 1920's mobster being a playwrite or an "artist". chazz palminetri plays said mobster in woody allen's brilliant "bullets over broadway", and is hilarious particularly when he has back and forth dialogue with john cusack's character.
diane wiest's performance as an arrogant and stuck up actress is extraordinary, and earned her a muchdeserved oscar. I would recommend "bullets over broadway" to anyone. it's insanely funny and carries that woody allen charm that we come to expect from his movies.
I can't imagine why anyone would dislike such fantastic cinema.
