Review of Bullets Over Broadway (1994) by Dustin M — 23 May 2013
Bullets Over Broadway is a very entertaining film. It has the sophistication that draws Woody Allen fans and this one is also quite funny. Dianne Wiest gives a great performance as does Chazz Palminteri.
John Cusack plays the struggling artist working to create his masterpiece while not compromising it in any way but he finds that to impossible as everything in his life starts to become more and more compromising.
It asks a great question,"Do you love the man or the artist"...can they be separated? Does one love a person for who they are or for what they do? Why not both? As an artist myself I found it to be refreshing to hear these questions being asked.
