Review of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948) by Benjamin S — 02 Sep 2007
Great! Legitimately tense and scary (there's a murder by Frankenstein's monster near the end that is truly disturbing) but also hilarious. The huge cast of characters is beautifully juggled, and the two leads are very endearing.
High atop the list of classic horror-comedies, along with Shaun of the Dead, Young Frankenstein, and Arsenic & Old Lace. A.
