Plot Summary.

Brother bear was a great family film about three Native American brothers that go on a journey as they all find and use their spirit totems. The youngest brother just received his and he is confused on why he gets the bear of love. The oldest brother gets killed by a bear and the youngest brother goes out to find it. Then he kills the bear and the spirits turn him into a bear himself. The rest of the movie the youngest brother goes on a journey as a bear to discover the reason why his spirit totem is the bear of love. He finds out that he needs to be there for a younger bear that he sees as his brother and he takes care of.

World Religion.

This movie is a good example of indigenous religions of North America. The people in this movie were Native Americans that believed in the spirits. This movie takes place right in an important time in a young Native American life. The youngest brother was fixing to get his spirit totem. This is the equivalent to the Vision Quest. This vision quest is the turning a boy into a man he received his spirit totem and he has to go out on a vision quest to find out why he received the totem he did. He had to travel until he saw the spirits and they showed him why he was there and what they wanted from him, and he had to find out his true meaning of the totem. This is a great example of Indigenous Religions in this movie.

Another great example of indigenous religion in this movie is all the spirits. The Native American's believed in spirits. There were many spirits in this movie such as all the animals and all the ancestors of the Native American people. All in all this movie was a great to depict Indigenous Religions in North America.
