With a powerhouse cast and some surprise cameos, you would of thought this movie would have done very well in theaters. However, after seeing it, in the end you realize why. This made the NYPD look like a bunch of corrupt, sleazy cops only out for the money and fame and this has all been done before.

The acting was actually superb and you can't go wrong with Ethan Hawke, Richard Gere and Don Cheadle. But then throw in Wesley Snipes and I was shocked the movie initially tanked. The story line was not bad and intertwines the lives of different cops at the same precinct fighting Brooklyn crime.

They all have skeletons in their closet and this movie bring every one of them out. The problem is they tried to hard to make this like a Scorsese/Tarantino type action movie with everyone getting blown away and in the end one man standing in a twisted violent scene.

It was like a replay of other movies. All I can say is it is too bad. Great action and acting, poor attempt. Great cameos by Vincent D'Onofrio, Lili Taylor, Ellen Barkin and Will Patton.
