Review of Brooklyn's Finest (2010) by Sage H — 03 Nov 2014
I really want to say something about this movie that is special, but in all honesty, nothing is. Blah blah blah this guy, blah blah blah that guy, blah blah blah cliche guy and blah blah blah they all meet up at the end for an anticlimactic ending.
Seriously, there is almost nothing you care about with these characters, the first half of the movie was just there so that it could have a legal run-time in order to play in movie theaters. I swear this movie felt like 3 hours you just wanted it to end by the half minute mark.
I couldn't stop checking my clock to see how much time is left. Antoine Fuqua is a good director and we all know that, but as all directors, they do have their one flop and this one is definitely his.
The movie had a good cast, but the slow pacing and common blandness of a movie we see all the time wasn't enough to keep me satisfied until the end, yet again re-watch it. If you miss out of this movie you really are not missing anything.
There is no way I would want to sit down and watch it again even on my most boring bored of a night. Yeah, there are a lot of worse movies out there but that still doesn't hold back the fact that this film had literally nothing going for it.
The movie was completely predictable and had enough unnecessary nudity to be classified as a porno of some sorts.
