Review of Brooklyn's Finest (2010) by Eric L — 30 Sep 2010
Better than I thought it would be for sure. It's not the average cop drama at all, it's about the best cops in brooklyn and their horrible situations and downward spiral of life into hell and how they want out.
The characters kept me interested, they had depth and emotions beyond the cop dramas that I've seen before. It's still a depressing movie though so don't go in thinking you'll be motivated and admiring the best that the police force has to offer.
But in the end, I would probably only replay this movie once or twice more, only to catch anything I missed. There were three different stories going on so some of the interactions with other characters are missed but at the same time not exactly needed for the story.
Brooklyn's Finest was almost like taking three tales from the crypt stories and intertwining them just barely into one movie. But overall not bad, don't waste too much money on it though.
