Review of Bronson (2009) by Yoann M — 08 Feb 2013
The biggest complaint I have with the film is that the main character is extremely unlikeable. He is something more than an Anti-Hero because there is no way anyone could call him anything close to a hero.
He is insane and violent to the point in which I honestly thought he was going to be killed in the end and was disappointed when he didn't. Tom Hardy's performance of the character is good because you hate him so much, but I think the directors wanted you to feel a bit bad for him, which I really didn't.
The film at some points just gets way to brutal. And this is coming from someone who has seen A Serbian Film and didn't bat an eye. This film is just overly violent with no real purpose.
